The Northup Agency has helped serve the Mohawk Valley and beyond for over 30 years.   Being a family owned & operated agency I have had the pleasure of working alongside my father Fred Northup for over 20 years, managing his agency.  Recently I took over the business and will continue to run it just as successfully as Fred always has.  My main focus is providing the best customer service that I can to each and every customer.  Getting to know different families and making sure that you and your family have the best protection at the lowest rate is the most exciting part of my job!   The experience that I have makes it easy for me to explain and educate my customers on the coverages that are the most important in each person’s unique situation.  

I am a lifelong resident of the Town Of Fairfield and received my education at West Canada Valley Central School.  At age 14 I started helping in the office on my school breaks.  During my senior year of high school my father insisted that I skipped school every Tuesday for 6 weeks to attend insurance training and become licensed to sell insurance-just as a backup plan!  I graduated from high school with a Regents Diploma and a New York State Insurance License.  From there I stayed local and attended HCCC until I decided I was ready to make insurance my career.  I have furthered my insurance education obtaining my license in Life, Accident & Health and now in the process of obtaining my Series 6 & 63 so that I can also provide financial consulting as a free service to all of my customers.  My husband Keith Lynch is also in the insurance business, as a Senior Property Adjuster for Allstate.  We are now raising three children in our Fairfield home, ages 8, 14 & 17.  

As a businesswoman, a mother and a wife I am very active in the community and love to volunteer my time helping those in need.  I believe that supporting the communities that I work and live in is very important and as my children grow I am becoming even more involved.  Beside my love for helping people, I love spending time with my family and my greatest joy is watching my kids do the things they are passionate about.  For the past several years if I haven’t been in the office or working from home, you’d most often find me at sporting events, clubs, and practices.  In my “free” time I enjoy being outdoors.  Boating, snowmobiling, skiing, hiking and spending time in the Adirondacks at our family camp.  Whether I’m in the office or on the go, I am always available to help anyone who needs it, any time of the day.  I’ve been known to write insurance policies at cheer competitions, on the beach, on the boat, at camp and at baseball games when necessary! I can promise that I will always remain committed to my customers.

I also have the best support system.  My team here at the Northup Agency is second to none!  Everyone in my office has been through specialized insurance training to become coverage experts and are available to provide insurance reviews, quotes, policy changes, and much more.  No matter who you reach here in our office, you’re sure to have a positive experience.  We believe that having a local agent that you can trust goes a long way.  With our agency you won’t have to deal with long hold times, calling 800#’s or speaking with people you don’t know.  We care about each one of our customers and treat everyone just like we were taking care of our own family.   Since each person is unique we have many different ways to contact and communicate.  Whether you prefer to call our office, email us, text us, Facebook message or stop in we are there to support you all of the time and can always reach one of us.
